Sr Web Project Lead/Designer

CentreTEK Solutions is looking for a thoughtful, experienced Web Project Lead and Designer to join our Web Interactive team. This person is responsible for client and project management, and the design, development, and maintenance of the information architecture and user interface for websites and web applications. The person must be experienced managing web development projects as well as working as a team member using Agile methodologies in a variety of development environments. S/he should be skilled in User Experience Design and planning techniques, HTML, JavaScript, and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). S/he should have strong knowledge of project management and good design strategies, human factors and user interface development.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Managing multiple clients and projects
• Create multiple UI designs for review and selection by staff.
• Develop, test, and maintain information architecture and UI for web-based applications. Web project management in a matrix team environment
• Manage and create reusable CSS.
• Manage and participate in the development, implementation, and maintenance of internal and external websites and/or web-based applications.
• Collaborate with technical, applications, and operational staff to ensure UI usability and integrity.
• Recognize the fundamental differences between the various internet browsers and devices and develop UI that can be reliably implemented across a variety of platforms.
• Assist in projects from concept through launch, including designing prototypes & wireframes, conducting usability testing, and moving the final product into production.
• Apply knowledge of industry trends in web design best practices, accessibility standards and developments to improve service to our clients.
• Proactively initiate, develop, and maintain effective working relationships with team members and developers.
• Proactively seeks opportunities to broaden and deepen knowledge base and proficiencies.
• Works with some management supervision and has the ability to manage others in a team environment.

Qualifications:

• Five to seven year in client and project management, utilizing Agile project and development methodologies such as scrum
• Demonstrated ability to develop a website design from wireframes or client specs. (Must have a portfolio of projects where you were the primary designer or developer, examples of planning documents, use cases, test plans or wireframes would be a plus)
• Degree in Human Factors, Information Architecture or similar a plus
• Ability to develop wireframes and planning documents
• Understanding of web standards and ability to develop valid code in XHTML and CSS
• Ability to use Photoshop, Fireworks, Dreamweaver, and Creative Suite CS 3 or later
• Ability to slice Photoshop or Fireworks files
• Ability to plan and develop effective navigational structures
• Solid communication skills
• Knowledge of CSS frameworks such as 960.css or blueprint a plus
• Knowledge of planning and prototyping tools a plus
• Knowledge of print design and either InDesign or Quark a plus
• Knowledge of Drupal, JQuery, Javascript, HTML5, CSS3, ActionScript, or other scripting languages a plus
